Nita: Department for Energy might be established by May 15; institution to be independent from Ministry of Economy
The Department for Energy is to be established legally by May 15 by promoting a Government resolution, according to which the above-mentioned institution will be independent from the Ministry of Economy, said Minister Delegate for Energy Constantin Nita on Monday.
'We hope that the Government resolution on the functioning of the Department for Energy will be approved by May 15. It will be a separate institution, independent from the Ministry of Economy,' said Nita.
The official added that the Department for Energy was to have 250 employees, the staff of the officials' offices included.
'Now the Ministry of Economy has about 700 employees. I have planned a number of 230-250 employees including the staff working in the officials' offices,' Nita added.
