Nita: A delegation from Korea is interested in reactors 3 and 4 in Cernavoda
A delegation from Korea was in Romania being interested in the reactors 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, Minister Delegate for Energy, Constantin Nita, told a press conference on Thursday.
'A delegation from China came this week to Romania being interested in the the reactors 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda plant. Another delegation is now here from Korea. There is interest in this objective. We will see how we are going to reach an agreement. This is a negotiation. We will see the best offer, the conditions and so on. When it comes to the hydro sector, let' take for instance Tarnita and say that we are about to set up a project company, Hidro Tarnita SA respectively, to develop the project regardless of whether we have foreign investors interested or not', Nita said.
As regards the underwater cable, the Minister specified that Romania is currently negotiating over the matter with Bulgaria and Turkey.
'We discussed it with the Ministers from the two states, we are going to meet with them, we will try to put things in motion', said the Minister Delegate for Energy.
Prime Minister Victor Ponta early this month stated that the government is ready to give up the majority stake it holds in the construction of reactors 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, in question being investments of billion euros.
