Minister Petcu: the Giurgiu county will benefit from investments of approximately 20 million euro through the project of the gas pipeline BRUA
Between 2019- 2022 in the Giurgiu county there will be made investments of approximately 20 million euro and there will be created two hundreds of work places through works at the gas pipeline Romania-Bulgaria, stated on Friday in Giurgiu the minister of energy Toma Petcu.
‘What is more important for our county is that we managed that, between 2019 – 2022 in Giurgiu to have investments of approximately 20 million euro in an important project which is approved by the European Commission and is financed 60% through Trans Gaz – state-run company and 40% with European funds. It is an important project and vital for the whole of Romania, not only for Giurgiu but approximately 20% of the project is developed on the territory of Giurgiu county, I am talking about the BRUA viaduct, an interconnector between Romania-Bulgaria –Hungary-Austria, so that, for the first time, it will be possible for Romania to have a direct connection to Austria, which is the main player on the market of gas in Europe’ stated the minister of energy.
