Installed power in photovoltaic panels to reach 43 MW by end-2012
The power installed in photovoltaic panels will reach 43 MW by the end of 2012, and specialists are expecting the same power to reach 140 MW by the end of 2013, Director General with the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) Zoltan Negy-Bege told a conference on Thursday on solar power.
'In 2010, ANRE was estimating that in 2012 photovoltaic panels of 43 MW will be installed. This has not been achieved yet, but there are chances of reaching 43 MW by the end of the year. We were also estimating 140 MW by 2017, but we believe we will get there in 2013,' said Nagy-Bere.ANRE has issued authorisations for the establishment of photovoltaic power plants of 98 MW and 13 producer licences.
The ANRE official mentioned that the legislation promoting renewable energy says the number of green certificates to be issued to producers may be modified in 2015, with the exception of the photovoltaic sector, where the number of certificates may be reduced as from January 2014.
Transelectrica Director General Marius Mateescu said in his turn that the electricity transmission operator signed contracts for the connection to the power grid of 117 photovoltaic power plants of an aggregate capacity of 522 MW. 'Transelectrica has signed contracts for the connection to the power grid of 117 photovoltaic power plants of an aggregate capacity of 522 MW. Another 172 are about to get permits , so there will be 1,032 MW in all,' said Mateescu.
