ForMin Corlatean, South Africa Ambassador discuss prospects for mining cooperation
Romania's Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean on Friday discussed with South Africa's Ambassador to Romania Thenjiwe Ethel Mtinso, on his presentation visit, about the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in sectors such as mining, agriculture, education and training, and culture, Romania's Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informs in a release.
The head of Romanian diplomacy called for speeding up the political dialogue and bilateral cooperation between Romania and South Africa. In this context, Corlatean 'stressed the importance Romania attaches to reviving its traditional relations with the African countries, bilaterally speaking, as well as in the context of the relations between the European Union and the African Union.'
Titus Corlatean extended one again an invitation to South Africa's Minister for International Relations and Cooperation, Maite Nkoana Mashabane, to pay an official visit to Romania.
In his turn, the South-African Ambassador stressed the importance of deepening the bilateral relations and declared that there is 'a common political will' to capitalize on the 'significant' existing potential of cooperation between the two countries.
'Both sides have highlighted the excellent cooperation within the UN and other international organizations and expressed their willingness to continue dialogue and coordination at international level,' the release reads.
