Energy market to grow in 2014
The energy market is expected to grow next year, according to Rasvan Radu, CEO at UniCredit Tiriac Bank, as saying at a press conference on Monday.
'The growth in 2013 will be inertial in terms of the bank's green energy portfolio, because of the upcoming revision of the legislation. We expect that projects already started to be completed this year, which will clearly lead to an increase. It only depends on the amendments to the legislation and also on the subsidies for green energy available this year, but I believe there will be growth recorded in other energy sectors too,' said Radu. He believes that the hydropower will continue to develop.
'There are also several projects on energy from coal, mainly related to environment protection projects. A number of requirements need to be implemented at the coal plants. I saw several intentions in the municipalities to build more efficient plants locally That's why I think that the energy market will grow in 2014,' said the UniCredit Tiriac Bank official.
