EIB transferred 1.4 billion euro for the financing of the strategic projects in the energy sector in Romania
The European Investments Bank (EIB) transferred on Wednesday approximately 1.4 billion euro from the Modernisation Fund for the financing of strategic projects in the energy sector in Romania, announced the minister of energy, Virgil Popescu
‘It is about: 8 projects lodged by CEO for the production of energy from renewable sources, total worth 670,802,780 euro, out of which 469,561,946 euro from the Modernisation Fund. In the end it will be about 735 MW’ wrote the minister of his page of Facebook.
Similarly, the minister referred to ‘other two projects CCGT for CEO, namely Isalnita worth 506,250,603 euro, out of which 253,125,302 euro from the Modernisation Fund and Turceni, worth 335,009,630 euro,out of which 167,504,815 euro from the Modernisation Fund’. We are talking about a total capacity of 1200 MW’ Popescu said.
‘I reiterate the fact that funds for the modernisation of the electricity distribution networks have been approved, worth 1.2 billion euro, out of which over 100 million euro were allocated today. Similarly, at the end of 2021, there were transferred 22.9 million euro, from the Modernisation Fund for the project: Overhead Power Line (LEA) 400 kV Constanta Nord – Medgidia Sud, proposd by CNTEE Transelectrica SA’ mentioned Popescu.
