Domestic energy consumption will go up next year by 1.4pct
Domestic energy consumption will go up next year by 1.4pct to 33.16 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), whilst population's consumption will increase by 0.6pct, to 7.85 million toe, according to the Energy Balance Prognosis, made public by the National Prognosis Commission (CNP).
Consumption in the energy sector will decrease in 2016 by 1.7pct to 2.675 million toe, and losses will be reduced by 1.9pct, to 1.05 million toe.
Energy consumption in economy will grow by 2.1pct in 2016, to 15.075 million toe. In industry, consumption will increase by 2.5pct, in transport and communications it will go up by 2.2pct, in construction it will remain constant, and in agriculture, forestry and fisheries it will decrease by 1.1pct. In the other sectors of the economy, energy consumption will see a 2.2pct rise next year.
For 2017, CNP estimate a rise in domestic energy consumption by 1.3pct, the population's consumption - by 0.9pct, and economy's consumption will advance by 2.3pct.
This year, according to CNP, domestic consumption will increase by 1.7pct, the population's consumption - by0.6pct, and that of the economy - by 2.1pct.
