Cernavoda nuclear power plant generated 8.556 million MWh of electricity in the first nine months of 2015
In the first nine months of 2015, the two units of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant generated 8.556 million MWh of electricity, while delivering 7.853 million MWh to the national grid and using 702,000 MWh for own consumption, according to the company's report released to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Friday.
Compared with January-September 2014, when 7.93 million MWh were generated and delivered to the national grid, a drop of 0.96 percent was recorded.
The 2015 electricity generation programme approved by the Administration Board of the Nuclearelectrica National Corporation provided for electricity quantity of 7.734 million MWh generated and delivered that has been 101.54 percent achieved.
In Q3, 2015, the two units of Cernavoda generated 2.999 million MWh and delivered 2.751 million MWh to the national grid.
The programme approved by Nuclearelectrica Administration Board also included Q3 generated and delivered electricity of 2.723 million MWh, which has been 101.01 percent achieved.
Nuclearelectrica officials say no unplanned stoppages of the Cernavoda nuclear units were recorded in Q3, 2015.
