Bloomberg: Petrom to Appeal Against Romanian Refinery Shutdown

SNP Petrom SA, Romania's biggest oil company, said it will challenge a decision by the National Environmental Agency to close down its Arpechim refinery. Petrom's shares fell to an 11-month low. The temporary shutdown of Arpechim, which has a daily capacity of 70,000 barrels of crude oil, came after its operating license was withdrawn, Petrom said today in a statement on its Web site.
