Andrei Gerea: the Hunedoara Energetic complex can get into insolvency at moment
The Hunedoara energy complex can get into insolvency any moment, taking into consideration the difficult situation of the company and the high number of requests stated in an interview for Mediafax the minister of energy Andrei Gerea who says that this should not worry anybody.
He also says that a consultant was employed for a plan of restructuring and to find solutions for the coming back of the company.
‘Let’s see what answer we get from the consultant after the analysis and then we can get a decision. I told you that I don’t exclude insolvency, taking into consideration the pressure which exists on the part of the creditors, on the part of the suppliers. I hired ISPE as a consultant to find solutions and for restructuring, for advice, as there are problems we could not manage at the level of the ministry of energy or at the level of the board’ stated the minister of energy, saying that this consultant will offer an answer within a month.
As a result of the losses recorded in 2013 and 2014, the Hunedoara energy complex faces serious problems of liquidity.
Hunedoara energy complex is the biggest company in Valea Jiului and the Hunedoara county and it is also the only company which supplies the thermal agent in Deva and the towns in Valea Jiului. In the structure of the Hunedoara Energy complex there are included the coal mines in Lupeni,Lonea, Livezeni and Vulcan together with the thermal power stations Mintia and Paroseni.
Hunedoara energy complex with the headquarters in Petrosani, Hunedoara county has a market share of approximately 5% of the production of electrical energy in Romania and has approximately 6,500 employees.
