47 Romanian toxic waste deposits do not comply with EU directives

A number of 47 toxic waste deposits ( out of the 51) in Romania do not comply with the provisions of Directive 199931CE, only four observing the regulations as regards the construction, the representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Waters Management (MMGA). According to MMGA, the activity of these deposits was stopped at the end of last year to be rehabilitated within the next 1- 3 years.
