The Transport Ministry suggests that the “Bucharest Airports”National Company and “Sea Ports Administration”National Company should be listed on the stock market with initial primary offers for the sale of packages of shares of 20-25% of the social capital of the companies.

According to the draft Government Decision for the approval of income and expense budget of the Transport Ministry for privatization in 2016, launched for public debate, the privatization strategy must be modified following the October 4 Memorandum published by the Executive which provided an increase of social capital for the two companies by the issue of new shares representing 20-25% of the social capital of each company and their sale at Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

The Government decision stipulates the completion of privatization for several companies from the portfolio of the Transport Ministry in 2017 and 2018.

“Bucharest Airports”National Company (CNAB) started its activity on February 5, 2010 and ensures operational coordination and management of the two airports in Bucharest - Henri Coanda International Airport and Aurel Vlaicu International Airport.
