Trade : Tablet sales will grow 4 times this year to 160,000 units
Tablet sales in the Romanian market will grow four times this year to about 160,000 units, exceeding the initial estimate of 120,000 units announced in April, said Alexandru Dragoiu, one of the associates of Rosal Import-Export, the firm that owes the E-Boda brand.He added that E-Boda will have a share of 12% in the local tablet market by the end of the year, from 8.5% in August.
“We have five tablets in out portfolio and we will add two more to reach 9 or 10 models by the end of the year. In this context I think E-Boda will reach a 12% share in the tablet market, from 8.5% in August. Practically, we will sell 20,000 tablets”, Dragoiu added.
For 2013 the company representative says he expects a doubling of tablet sales. “Clients ask for these products, prices drop and considering evolutions in other markets, I expect a doubling of tablet sales in 2013. Besides specialized retailers I expect Auchan, Real, Metro and Carrefour to join this market,” Dragoiu said.
Set up in 2003, the company Rosal Import-Export ended 2011 with businesses of 14.5 million lei and has a target of 20-25% income increase this year.
RECOM data show that the company is held 50% by Alexandru Dargoiu and 50% by Mihai Darie.
