The turnover volume of the market services provided to the population decreased compared to the previous month as gross series by 0.2% and increased as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 2.2%.

Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the turnover volume of the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles increased both as gross series by 5.6% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 12.7%. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the turnover volume of the market services provided to the population increased both as gross series by 13.7% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 11.2%.

Compared to the period 1.I?30.IV.2016, in the period 1.I?30.IV.2017, the turnover volume of the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles increased both as gross series by 13.2% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 14.9%. The turnover volume of the market services provided to the population increased both as gross series by 9.1% and a? adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality 7.3%.
The volume of wholesale and retail turnover, maintenance and repair of vehicles and motorcycles increased in unadjusted terms by 13.2 percent in the first four months of this year compared with the same period of 2016 and by 14.9 percent when adjusted for working days and seasonality, according to data released on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The unadjusted figures in the first four months are the result of increases in maintenance and repair of vehicles (+ 23.5 percent), trade in motorcycles, related parts and accessories, maintenance and repair of motorcycles (+ 15.8 percent), trade in vehicles (+ 13.5 percent) and activities related to the trade of vehicle parts and accessories (+ 8.6 percent).
Market services provided to the population, unadjusted series, recorded a turnover in the first four months of 2017 that was 9.1 percent above the same period of 2016, coming from gambling and other leisure activities (+13.7 percent), tourist and tour operators' activities (+ 8.2 percent), hotel and restaurant activities (+ 7.6 percent) and washing, cleaning and dyeing of textiles and fur (+4.8 percent).
The April 2017 volume of turnover for market services rendered to the population, adjusted for working days and seasonality, increased by 2.2 percent on a monthly basis.
In April 2017, compared with April 2016, the volume of wholesale and retail turnover, maintenance and repair of vehicles and motorcycles, unadjusted series, increased by 5,6 percent on increases in maintenance and repair of vehicles (+ 16.0 percent), trade in motorcycles, spare parts and related accessories; maintenance and repair of motorcycles (+ 13.5 percent), trade in vehicles (+ 4.7 percent) and trade in parts and accessories for vehicles (+ 2.8 percent).
According to the INS, the April 2017 volume of turnover for wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of vehicles and motorcycles, adjusted for working days and seasonality, recorded a total increase of 12.7 percent versus April 2016.
In April 2017, market services rendered to the population, unadjusted series, registered a turnover that was up 13.7 percent from April 2016, coming from gambling and other leisure activities (+27, 5 percent), tourist and tour operators' activities (+ 14.4 percent), hotel and restaurant activities (+ 8.9 percent) and washing, cleaning and dyeing of textile and fur (+ 3.6 percent). Decreases were registered in hairdressing and other beauty activities (-17.4 percent).
The April 2017 market services provided to the population, adjusted for working days and seasonality, increased by 11.2 percent from April 2016.
