Trade: GfK: Romanians bought computers and tablets of 455 million euro in 2013
Sales of PCs, laptops and tablets was of 455 million euro last year in the local market, 3.9% higher than in 2012, according to a Temax study made by GfK Romanian research company.In the last quarter of 2013, sales of IT products was of 163 million euro, on the rise by 7.6%, compared to October-December 2012.
“Except for PCs, Black Friday and Christmas campaigns brought positive evolutions for IT categories. The most significant growths were recorded for tablets (+37%) and keyboards (+28%). As for tablets, there were considerable sales for entry and mid range products with diagonals under 9 inches,” GfK shows.
The demand for portable computers registered a 1% advance in quarter 4, 2013 compared to the same period of 2012. The segment represents more than half of IT market in point of value.
