Trade: Analysis : Bucharest, Cluj Napoca and Timisoara in top of cities with most online food orders
The number of online food orders doubled in June, compared to the beginning of the year, the top of cities being led by Bucharest, according to an analysis made by an online order platform.
According to centralized data, international food were most in demand on Foodpanda order platform in semester 1, 2019.
Bucharest ranks first in the top of cities with most orders and is followed by Cluj Napoca and Timisoara.
The biggest order over the period of time analyzed was of 1,349.5 lei, in Cluj Napoca.
In this context, in the first three months of 2019, the number newly listed restaurants in the platform has grown by over 132%, against the same period of 2018. In June alone, the number of restaurants is about 50% higher than at the beginning of the year, the source mentions.
As for payment means preferred by Foodpanda customers in the first part of the year, 77% chose to pay cash, while 23% paid online.
In the first semester, about 75% of orders were made online, on the rise by 12% against the same period of 2018.
Foodpands.ro , part of Delivery Hero group, is the biggest online food order platform in Romania, collaborating with over 1,500 restaurants in Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Brasov, Constanta, Arad, Ploiesti, Oradea, Galati, Craiova, Sibiu, Pitesti, Targu Mures and Baia Mare.
