Trade: 70% of Romanian consumers remain faithful to brands (study)

Seven out of ten Romanians are open to continue buying products of companies which make mistakes towards them, as long as mistakes are repaired. On the other hand, 19% of consumers say brands in Romania are honest, according to a specialised study released on Thursday.

In the same context of reaction to attitudes, 90% of people interviewed prefer people with certain flaws they acknowledge, to the detriment of perfect persons or those seeking perfection.

As for public figures, seven out of ten respondents consider they should not try to seem perfect, but show reality as it is. On the other hand, three out of ten respondents consider that public figures should promote their good sides, in order to be examples to be followed.

According to the iSense Solutions study, five out of ten consumers consider that a company which can make amends by apologising toward them is surprisingly pleasant. At the same time, other means by which brands can repair their mistakes towards customers are either to make quick answers (30%) or apologise (14%).

But, generally speaking, only 19% of customers consider that brands in Romania are honest.

According to study results, 80% of Romanian consumers think that a company should not be interested in profit alone and should have moral principles, about 74% say the company should not exploit its employees.

Data are representative for people aged between 16 and 65 in the urban area in Romania and the margin of error id +/- 3.02% at a confidence level of 95%.
