Tourism: Tourism Ministry announces joint routes between Romania and Poland to attract Asian tourists
Witold Banka, the Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism recently declared in Bucharest that a work group will be set up to identify joint tourist offers with Romania.
“One of the most important aspects in bilateral collaboration is tourism. We talked with minister Trif about joint regulations specific of the two countries, about offers in the field of tourism and possibilities of bilateral cooperation. The next step will be setting up a work group to identify joint offers in the field of tourism. I want to congratulate the minister for the idea of tourist vouchers, which is very important and useful. As for regulations in the field of tourism, there is a guaranty system in Poland, that gives 100% safety to our customers. We intend to make an exchange of good practices in the future,” Witold Banka said.
Romania and Poland will have joint tourist routes to attract Asian customers, said Bogdan Trif, the minister of tourism, who pointed out that both countries have many UNESCO monuments and medieval fortresses.
“I am glad to see minister Banka again. We met at the end of May at the joint meeting of the two governments. We had bilateral talks where we established tourist collaborations between Romania and Poland. Then we decided to meet again in Bucharest to establish the first joint routes between Poland and Romania. I can say we already have the UNESCO Monument Route and the Medieval Fortress and Castle Route. Both countries excel in these sectors and we will certainly attract more tourists with this collaboration, especially from Asia. We know the Asian tourists like to travel and do not spend more than two days in the same place. By this offer we hope Romania and Poland will become an attractive destination. Technicians will exactly establish these routes, but until the end of the year we will have a joint offer,”Trif said at an event attended by both Witold Banka, the Polish minister of sport and tourism and Ioana Bran, the Romanian minister of youth and sport.
A delegation of the Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism, headed by minister Witold Banka, was in Bucharest between August 2 and 3 to establish details of future mutual promotion in the field of youth, sport and tourism.
