Tourism: Three cultural-tourist routes developed at national level, acknowledged by Economy Ministry

Three cultural-tourist routes developed at national level - “From Bucharest to Bucegi mountains”, “Wallachian Princely courts”, “Brancoveanu Road  from Bucharest to Sambata de Sus and Fagaras”- were acknowledged following an analysis made by specialists in the field of tourism from the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism.The suggestion was made by the president of Dambovita County Council, Corneliu Stefan.

The routes will be promoted both on the ministry website  and in promotion actions carried out by the institution.The three tourist routes intend to highlight monuments and tourist potential of Dambovita county. The routes selected combine history and natural potential in the mountain area of Dambovita county.

The first route starts from Cotroceni Palace and the Botanical Garden in Bucharest and reaches Potlogi, Nucet, Targoviste, Sinaia and Omu Peak.

The second route highlights boyar mansions and princely courts, starting with the oldest, Campulung, continuing with Curtea de Arges, Golesti and Bratieni Mansions, reaching Targoviste, the Princely Court, continuing with Prahova, at Filipesti de Targ, Bocov, Urlati and Brebu.

The third route follows Constantin Brancoveanu's road, from the Princely Court in Bucharest to the other mansions and courts- Mogosoaia, Potlogi, Targoviste, Doicesti, continuing in the mountains at Sambata de Sus and Fagaras.

For the three routes proposed by Dambovita County Council, documents include both descriptions of  objectives and areas of interest and data referring to access, prices, distances, accommodation possibilities and means of recreation.

The technical charts of the routes were drawn up at the Princely Court National Museum Complex, subordinated to Dambovita County Council.
