Tourism : The first Sheraton hotel in Romania opens at the end of August after an investment of 6 mil.euro

Sheraton Bucharest Hotel,of five stars, will be led by Daniel Ben-Yehuda (45 ) manager of ‘ the house’ working for the Sheraton brand in Israel and Tahiti.

The transformation of the hotel Howard Johnson in Piata Romania in the first Sheraton hotel in the country will be finalised on 28 August when the new hotel will be opened after an investment of approximately 6 million euro, according to Daniel Ben-Yehuda, the executive being at the leadership of Sheraton Bucharest Hotel.

The process of transformation started in the autumn of 2014 when the Starwood Hotels&Resorts Worldwide ( which owns the Sheraton brand) signed a contract of franchise with Grand Plaza Hotel ( the former Howard Johnson).

The process of negotiation with one of the biggest hotel premium chains in the world, Starwood Hotels&Resorts Worldwide was started with approximately 18 months before the signing of the franchise contract and the remodelling and redesign were started in the autumn of 2014’ Daniel Ben-Yehuda said.

Sheraton Bucharest Hotel will be classified at five stars and wil have the same number of rooms as the former hotel Howard Johnson, namely 270, and the hotel will also have a gym Sharoton Fitness, a reading area, a relaxation area at 18 level. The transformation process included the lobby, the restaurant one and the reception one.
