Tourism: ANT allocates 8 million euros for Romania’s tourist promotion and opens Beijing office
The National Authority for Tourism (ANT) will allocate 8 million euros from European funds for outdoor advertising and the participation in tourism fairs abroad. The government will contribute with 110,000 euros.
“The sums allocated from the state budget for the promotion of tourism in 2015 amount to 508,000 lei. About 4 million euros are allocated from European funds for the purchase of outdoor advertising services for the implementation of annual marketing operational plans for the national tourist brand,” ANT informs.
Moreover, ANT intends to open this year a new office for tourist promotion in Beijing, which needs funds of 50,000 euros in 2015.
The authority has nine offices for tourist promotion abroad in Austria, France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Russia, Spain and USA.
ANT officials point out that the institution concentrates short and medium term promotion efforts on priority and opportunity markets established according to the number of tourists who come to Romania (from Germany, France, Italy, USA, Austria, Great Britain/Ireland, Russia, Hungary, Moldova, Israel, the Middle East) without excluding granting punctual support to other projects outside Europe.
