Real Estate: Searches for apartment sales in Romania increased 26pct year-on-year in the first five months of 2015
The amount of searches for apartment sales in Romania increased 26pct year-on-year in the first five months of 2015; the most wanted were the homes worth up to 40,000 euros, according to an analysis carried by the specialized portal imobiliare.ro, sent on Tuesday.
The largest growths of demand by county, as shown by online searches, were seen in Iasi (over 50 percent), Timis (38pct), Bucharest-Ilfov (24pct), Cluj (22pct), Brasov (20pct) and Constanta (12pct).
By price tiers, in the Bucharest-Ilfov area, circa 35pct of the searches were for apartments up to 40,000 euros; 27pct for 40,000 - 60,000 euros, 21pct for 60,000 - 80,000 euros, and 17pct for more than 80,000. The weights of the same price brackets in Brasov were 48pct, 29pct, 16pct and 7pct respectively. In Cluj, the figures were 44, 29, 18 and 9 percent; in Constanta 45, 29, 18 and 8 percent; in Timis - 48, 30, 17 and 5 percent; and in Iasi 57, 29, 11 and 3 percent.
