Statistics : September 2011 retail trade business, down 3pct in Romania

The volume of retail trade in Romania, except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles, declined 3 percent in September 2011 on a monthly basis in unadjusted terms as a result of a drop in fuel trade for motor vehicles in specialist shops (7.2 percent), a 1.8-prcent decrease in sales of food, drinks and tobacco and a 1.1-percent decrease in the sales of non-foods.According to data released on Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INS), the volume of retail trade, except ...
