Romanian Retailers Expect Consumption To Keep Shrinking In ‘11

Consumption is expected to continue declining in Romania next year, because of widening unemployment and lower consumer confidence, retailer representatives said at a seminar organized by Business Magazin. Marius Melesteu, chief executive of coffee maker Strauss Romania, believes unemployment will grow and people will redirect their money towards more urgent expenditure, such as utility bills.
