Romanian hotels and inns kept closed will pay 5% higher taxes, by decision of the local councils, but owners of accommodation units kept open for more than six months per year will only pay half taxes, Tourism Minister Elena Udrea announced Wednesday.These new measures were included in the Government's amendments to the Fiscal Code, she said.The lower taxes for hotels open longer than six months per year aim to extend the summer tourist season, said the minister. ...
