Romania imported over 42,200 tons of coffee and coffee husks in 2014
Romania imported 42,210 tons of coffee, coffee husks and coffee substitutes in 2014,with 3.2% less in the previous year, a publication of the INS shows. The total value of such imports reached last year 150,7 million euro, up by 1.47% against 2013. As regards the export of such products, they dropped by 60.3% namely 1.342 tons, 8.8 million euro respectively. The commercial deficit for coffee, coffee husks and coffee substitutes was 141.9 million euro, up by 3.61% in 2014 against the previous year.
Romania imported most quantities of coffee from Germany, 9,270 tons (38.1 million euro) and exported 342 tons to Bulgaria (1.9 million euro).
According to INS,Romania had during last year commercial relations with 212 countries. Even so, the majority of international trade relied on some dominant partner countries.
In 2014, most important 10 export markets were 63.2% of the total of Romania’sexports, while the first 10 partner countries for import made 67.5% of the total of imports.
The value of imports made byRomania surpassed 58.5 billion euro, up by 5.8% against the previous year, the biggest share of this kind of trade being with countries in the EU, 75.4% of the total, shows the INS data.
According to the statistics, at the level of last year, the value of imports from Germany was by 9.5% higher than the previous year, the mostly frequently traded products being represented by cars, apparata and electrical equipment, recording equipment and image recording equipment,transport means and transport materials, metals , chemical products, textiles.
