Real Estate: Apartments in the big cities of Romania got more expensive by 6.5% over the last year
The price of the apartments in the big cities of Romania were higher by 6.5% in Q1 of this year, as compared to the same period of 2016, in March the highest being recorded in Iasi, show the data published on Wednesday by the portal imobiliare.ro.
Thus, in the third month of this year, the owners of apartments required an average price of 1,092 euro per square metre for a residence, up by 6.5% against the same period of last year and by 1.1% against February.
In March 2017, the highest growth against the same period of 2016 was recorded in Cluj-Napoca. Thus, Cluj-Napoca got as price 1,260 euro/sq.m with 7.2% over the level of March 2016.
Second is Iasi, with an advance of 5.4% over the last 12 months, at 914 euro/sq.m.
Third is Timisoara, where the average price reached 1,065 euro/sq.m, with 5.3% over the level of March 2016.
The fourth is Brasov, with 4.6% against March 2016 at 925 euro/sq.m. Against February, old houses appreciated by 1.3% in March at 930 euro/sq.m and the new ones got cheaper by 0.5% at 912 euro/sq.m.
The fifth is Bucharest where the average price of apartments in March grew by 3.3% at 1,175 euro/sq.m agains the same period of 2016.
In Constanta, the average price of residences grew in March by 3.2% against the same period of 2016 at 992 euro/sq.m.
