Healthcare: Florian Bodog, the minister of Health: the Sfanta Maria hospital cannot start any pulmonary transplant yet
The Sfanta Maria Hospital cannot start any pulmonary transplat yet as they need to define their regulations, as at present there are five patients who are under evaluation at the AKH Clinic in Vienne, the minister of health announced.
The scandal linked to the centre for transplats in the Sfanta Maria Hospital started last year in November after the former minister of health Vlad Voiculescu decided to close down the centre as the procedures were not observed.
The present minister of health sent, at the end of March, after a meeting with the General Mayor of Bucharest Gabriela Firea a team of the National Agency for Transplant to make a new evaluation at the centre Sfanta Maria.
At the same time, the coordinator of the programme for pulmonary transplant in AKH Vienne notifies Bodog about the fact that the Austrian hospital can no longer receive the Romanian patients due to lack of space. Later, Florian Bodog stated that he received a positive answer from hospital AKH in Vienne, the Romanian patients being able to be treated there again.
