Real estate: A quarter of new houses are in Bucharest and Ilfov county
2,500 houses, about 1,000 units more than in the boom period were delivered in quarter 1 in Bucharest and surrounding area.
The capital city and Ilfov county cover a quarter of new houses completed at national level, compared to 18% last year. That area is the main “construction pole”in the residential area, according to a ZF analysis based on statistic data. In quarter 1, 2015, 2,500 houses were delivered in the Bucharest-Ilfov area (with a value of 125 million euros), about 1,000 units more than in the same period of 2014 or even in 2007-2008.
On the other hand, over 9,200 houses were completed at national level in the first three months of 2015 in the urban area, which means that half of apartments and houses built in towns are in the Capital.
