Number of tourists spending holidays in Romania has grown by 65% in last five years
The number of Romanian and foreign tourists who spend their holidays in Romania has grown by 65% in the last five years, exceeding ten millions and in 2016 the biggest development of the last ten years will be registered, according to a BIBI Tourism Touroperator press release.
“For 2016 we estimate an increase of over 30% of the market compared to the previous year,”said Adrian Voican, general manager of BIBI Touring Touroperator.
The company business grew by 60% in 2016 from domestic tourism, in the context of growing interest for domestic destinations.
Company data show that once the evolution of demand for Romanian destinations have grown and tourists’ expectations for services and comfort have also grown. “We notice higher demand accommodation in hotels of four and five stars and special attention granted to accommodation conditions, entertainment facilities and spending free time, relaxation areas and access to technologies,” Voican added.
