Nicolas Maure: We must relaunch Romania's auto market
Relaunching Romania's new cars market in 2014 and 2015 is an important goal for the main domestic automobile manufacturer, Dacia and Renault Romania CEO Nicolas Maure said on Thursday.
Another priority for Dacia is preserving the competitiveness of the factory in Mioveni (129 kilometers north of Bucharest), a goal that can be achieved with an adequate support of the Romanian authorities.
'We have also discussed the competitiveness issue of the Dacia factory in Romania. We have other factories that produce Dacia models, especially in Morocco, so our goal is to stay competitive. We are counting on the Government to help us stay competitive,' Dacia and Renault Romania CEO mentioned.
Nicolas Maure has taken over the position of Dacia and Renault Romania CEO on January 1, 2014. He replaces Jerome Olive, who assumed the industrial management of Renault for the European Region.
Between September 2006 and August 2008, Maure had been the manager of Dacia Mechanical Plant. After this period in Romania, he became vice president for mechanics at the Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization and manufacturing performance director of Renault.
