New Dacia registrations in France dropped by almost 10% in the first four months
New Dacia registrations in France dropped by 9.8% in the first four months of this year, at 35,766 units, registering the most important decline among the makes with big volumes of sales, while the market recorded a growth of 5.6% at 648,087 units.
At the end of the first four months the market share of the Romanian make was at 5.52% slight up from 5.13% on 31 March. In April 2014 Dacia owned on the French market a share of 6.46%.
Dacia registrations dropped in April by 0.2% against the same period of last year, at 11,269 cars, giving a market share of 6.6%.
The French car market had in April an increase of 1.8% at 204,095 of newly registered cars.
Among the Dacia models, Sandero is number 9 in the ranking of the best sold makes on the French market. With 16,056 units sold in the first four months and a market share of 2.5% followed by Duster on 13 with 13,254 newly registered cars and a share of 2%.
In Top 100 there is Dacia Lodgy ranking 65 with 2,450 units and a share of 0.4%, DaciaLogan MCVII ranking 78 with 2001 units and 0.3% share, as well as Dacia Dokker ranking 94 with 1,510 units and a share of 0.2%.
Among the makes with big volume of sales, the most important drops were in Dacia,DS,make of the Frech grouo PSA Peugeot Citroen with 13.4% and Skoda with 2.2 %.
The registrations for the Renault group which owns Dacia as well increased by3% in the first four months at 165,068 cares and the market share reached 25,47% against 26,12% a year ago.
In April were registered 33,066 cars of the group Renault, up by 3.4% as compared to the same month of the year 2014. The market share of the group Renault in April was 25.96%.
France is the biggest market for Dacia, the registrations of new cares increasing last year by 12.9% as compared to 2013 at 105,896 units.
