Move of low-cost carriers to Otopeni Airport drives air fares higher

Low-cost carriers will move as of March 25 from Baneasa Airport to the Henri Coanda International Airport in Otopeni, which will result in an air fare rise by about 4 percent on average, the equivalent to 6 euros, Wizz Air chief financial officer Michael Powell told a press conference.'Following the move of the flights to Otopeni as of March 25 we will be charged operating taxes by 25 percent higher, which will translate into the ticket price.
