In Summer 2019, Air Canada Rouge will return with more flights to Bucharest
Starting June 7, 2019 Air Canada Rouge will offer again a nonstop service between Bucharest and Montreal as well as between Bucharest and Toronto. Air Canada's leisure airline will fly four times a week until the beginning of October. Between June 24 and September 7, in peak season the nonstop services will be offered up to six times a week. The Toronto and Montreal hubs offer passengers smooth connections to many destinations in Canada and the US.
“We are the only North American Carrier providing a nonstop service from Romania to Canada. In our first year we have seen an increasing demand in the Romanian market. Therefore, we have made the decision to offer even more flights in 2019.” says Duncan Bureau, President – Air Canada Rouge.
Air Canada Rouge operates both routes on a Boeing 767-300. The flight time is about 10 hours. On board passengers have the choice between the two service-classes Economy and Premium Rouge. The state-of-the-art cabin features slimline seats in Economy Class for more comfort and legroom, free meals and soft drinks, and up to 23 kg of free luggage.
In Premium Rouge customers have plenty of room to relax with wider seats and more legroom. In addition, Premium Rouge guests can check-in two pieces of luggage up to a maximum of 23 kg each, at the airport they enjoy exclusive services such as Priority Check-in and Priority Boarding. On board Premium Rouge customers will be spoiled with an excellent on-board menu served on porcelain dishes while being entertained with iPads loaded with the latest Hollywood new releases.
Air Canada Rouge was also one of the first airlines in North America to offer a Streaming Inflight Entertainment System. This allows customers to stream complimentary movies, series and more to their own laptop or tablet & smartphone via the free Air Canada App (recommended to be downloaded prior to departure from the Apple Store or Google Play). If required, customers can borrow an Apple iPad for a small fee. iPads are available free of charge in the Premium Rouge cabin.
New for 2019 will also be the introduction of Rouge Wi-Fi high-speed satellite internet. With speeds fast enough to even stream live video, customers can now surf, stream and shop while they fly.
