In May 2017, compared to May 2016, the turnover of the trade with  motor vehicles increased by 18.4%

  • Compared  to  the previous month, in May 2017, the  turnover volume of  the  trade with motor vehicles  and  motorcycles  increased  both  as  gross  series  by  15.0%  and  as  adjusted  series according  to  the number of working days and  to  seasonality by 2.2%. The  turnover volume of the  market  services  provided  to  the  population  increased  compared  to  the  previous  month both as gross series by 9.4% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 3.6%.

  • Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the turnover volume of the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles increased both as gross  series  by  18.4% and as adjusted series according  to  the number of working days and  to seasonality by 15.8%. Compared  to  the corresponding  month  of  the  previous  year,  the  turnover  volume  of  the  market  services provided  to  the  population  increased  both  as  gross  series  by  15.5%  and  as  adjusted  series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 15.1%.

  • Compared to the period 1.I?31.V.2016, in the period 1.I?31.V.2017, the turnover volume of the trade  with  motor  vehicles  and  motorcycles  increased  both  as  gross  series  by  14.4%  and  as adjusted  series  according  to  the  number  of  working  days  and  to  seasonality  by  15.3%.  The turnover  volume  of  the  market  services  provided  to  the  population  increased  both  as  gross series  by  10.1%  and  as  adjusted  series  according  to  the  number  of  working  days  and  to seasonality by 8,7%.

 Trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles advanced in the first five months of 2017, both in raw series and adjusted for working days and seasonality, 14.4 percent and 15.3 percent, respectively according to data released on Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INS). 

Over the same period, market services were up 10.1 percent in raw series and 8.7 percent when adjusted for working days and seasonality. 

In May 2017, retail trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles was up 18.4 percent over May 2016, while market services advanced 15.5 percent. At the same time, retail trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles was up 15.0 percent in raw series and 2.2 percent when adjusted for working days and seasonality. Market services were up 9.4 percent in raw series and 3.6 percent when adjusted for working day and seasonality, both on a monthly basis. 

Compared with May 2106, May 2017 retail trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles was up cu 18.4 percent in raw series and 15.8 percent when adjusted for working days and seasonality. May 2017 market services were up 15.5 percent over May 2016 in raw series and 15.1 percent when adjusted for working days and seasonality. 

On a monthly basis, May 2017 market services advanced 9.4 percent in raw series; when adjusted for working days and seasonality, they rose by 3.6 percent.
