Cars: National automobile park grew to 8.20 million vehicles in 2018
The national automobile park in Romania reached about 8.20 million units at the end of 2018, on the rise by 7.30% compared to the previous year, when 7.635 million units were registered, according to DRPCIV data.
Specialized statistics show that 1,381,620 cars were registered in Bucharest, out of 8,193,278 cars registered at national level, an advance of 4.64% compared to 2017.
At the same time, the number of cars registered in Bucharest on December 31, 2018 was over 1.106 million units, most of them (610,765 units) running on gasoline and 495,539 units were in the “over 12 years old” category.
At the same time, of the total number of cars registered in Bucharest, 667,483 units ran on diesel oil and 417,853 units were older than 11-15 years.
The number of new or relatively new vehicles (0-2 years old) in Bucharest at the end of 2018 was of 168,435 units, on the rise by 7.77%, compared to the end of the previous year, of which 130,687 units were cars.
