Cars: Dacia sales in Great Britain dropped by 14.6% in November but went up by 48% in 11 months

Sales of new Dacia cars in Great Britain dropped ny 14.66% in November compared to 2013, but at the level of the first 11 months the Romanian cars recorded an important advance of 48.08% compared to the same period of 2013.

 

Dacia sold 1,729 units in November, compared to 2,026 units in the same month of 2013, while sales after 11 months grew from 15,099 to 22,359 units.

 

Dacia market share dropped to 1% in November, from 1.27% in 2013, according to SMMT data.

On the other hand, Dacia registered an increase of 0.97% of the British car market share, compared to 0.71% in 2013.

 

The most successful cars in the first 11 months were Ford with 306,134 cars sold, Vauxhall with 246,015 units and Volkswagen with 200,353 units.

 

Ford Fiesta, with 123,747 units sold over January-November, represents the best sold model in Great Britain, followed by Ford Focus (78,944 units) and Vauxhall Corsa (73,709 units). The automobile market in Great Britain went up by 8% in November 2014 compared to 2013, marking the 33rd months on the row with increases. With 2.31 million cars sold in the first 11 months of the year, Great Britain register the highest level of sales since 2007.

 

In France, new Dacia cars purchased went up by 18.2% to 94,366 units, in the first 11 months of the year compared to same period of 2013, exceeding the level of 93,800 units registered last year.
