Cars: Dacia – highest sales increase in EU in 2013
Dacia sales in EU went up by 23.3% to 289,000 new automobiles, last year, the highest increase in EU. The Romanian brand, owned by Renault, had a market share of 3.2% in December, according to ACEA data.
In December, Dacia sales in EU went up by 48.2% compared to the same period of 2012, from 19,300 to 28,700 automobiles, the company market share growing from 2.4% to 3.2%.On the overall, Dacia had a market share of 2.4% in EU in 2013, compared to 1.9% in 2012.
Renault Group ranked third in the top of car manufacturers in Europe, recording a 4.4% delivery increase to 1.076 million cars.In December Renault sales in EU went up by 30.3% to 97,400 automobiles, the best performance among car manufacturers in Europe.
Ford, the owner of Craiova car works, also reported a high delivery increase by 21.2% to 62,600 units in 2013, limiting last year’s decline.In 2013, Ford sales in Europe went down by 3.2% to 878,800 units.
