Air Baltic launches flights between Bucharest and Riga
The Latvian air operator Air Baltic launched four flights a week for the summer period between Bucharest and Riga, offering the possibility of continuing travels in the Baltic Sea and Scandinavian areas as well as from Russia.“Air Baltic has interrupted several routes with low demand, which made possible setting up flights between Riga and Bucharest,” a company press release shows.
Passengers traveling from Bucharest to Riga will be able to continue their flights to Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Saint Petersburg , Vilnius and Tallinn.The company operates return flights from Bucharest to Riga four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The flight will take 2 hours and 55 minutes by means of a Bombardier Q400 NextGen. The price of a return ticket starts from 179 euro, airport taxes included.
Air Baltic operates flights from Riga to 60 destinations. It is controlled by the Latvian states which owns 99.8% of shares. The Air Baltic fleet includes 25 airplanes: 5 Boeing 737-500, 8 Boeing 737-800 and 12 Bombardier Q400 NextGen.
