The priority sectors of agricultural development this year and during the period 2014-2020 are vegetal production and raising dairy cows, said , at Agraria International Fair (in Cluj-Napoca, 426 km north west of Bucharest) - the largest such fair in Transylvania, the Agriculture Minister, Daniel Constantin.
Minister Daniel Constantin announced that the young farm families and subsistence farms will be supported by the Ministry of Agriculture through special programs, exemplifying that, in the period May 20 to 25, standard projects will be developed for vegetable farms and for those specialized in cattle raising, but also bird rearing. The ministry will make efforts so that to increase its financial support for young farmers' installation, since 2014, from 40,000 to 70,000 euros.
As well, the Ministry of Agriculture will pay a special attention to the food industry, which requires massive investments. According to Minister Daniel Constantin, the Romanian agricultural products are sufficient to feed the population, but concerning the Community measures 123 the ministry envisages investments of one million euros for vegetable production.

As well, the micro-credits will play a most important role for farmers who want to develop their businesses, the minister added.
