The statements of the company come in the context of information in the public space in Romania with regards to the BRUA project and the capacities of transport for natural gas between Romania and Hungary.

‘BRUA is a project of national interest, supported firmly by the European Commission. BRUA will bring to the country important income from tariffs of natural gas transport and will change Romania into a serious player on the market of natural gas of the European Union.Transgaz keeps to its commitments according to the initial project, which benefitted from the support of all Romanian governments and rejects  the accusations that they favour Hungary’ the Transgaz press release says.

The representatives of  the company say that the reservation of the transport capacity is a condition for starting the investment in BRUA phase 2.

‘During this process, Transgaz  kept in touch with the European Commission and with ANRE which validated the decisions  all parties involved considered in the interest of Romania and from a strategical point of view  as well as an economic one. Transgaz says that they cannot control what happens to the gas extracted in the Black Sea as the gas is distributed  to other companies.
