The value of electricity exports increased by over 182% in the first 5 months
Romania has exported, in the first five months of this year, electricity worth 450 million euro, with 182.4% more as compared to the similar period of 2021, according to the data, centralized by the National Institute of Statistics.
The biggest exports of electricity during the period mentioned above were registered in January, namely 104.5 million euro and the lowest in April – 71.5 million euro.
As regards imports, they totalised in January –May 2022 over 712 million euro, being higher by 298% as compared to the first five months of 2021.
The biggest imports were made in March, of 258 million euro and the smallest in May – 89.4 million euro.
According to the INS data, the exports of electricity, as quantity were 2.507 billion kWh, dropping by 398.2 million kWh as compared to the first five months of 2021, and imports of 3.113 billion kWh (plus 35 million kWh).
