The Court of Appeal obliges ANRE to pay GDF Suez damage of 291 million lei
The Court of Appeal Bucuresti obliged ANRE to pay to the gas distributor GDFSuez damage of 291 milion lei, representing non-recovered costs, the authority having to appeal to the decision,
The sentence was not recorded, so that ANRE does not know which are the reasons for which the court, although they rejected the main arguments decided for the payment of the damage, according to the press release.
ANRE considers that, through orders 31/2012 and 22/2014 for the approval of the regulated prices through which the final regulated prices were increased, GDFSuez recovered the costs made and non-recovered through the prices and to which the court refers.
‘At the moment of the announcement of the civil sentence 1173/24/04/2015 ANRE will formulate appeal against this decision’ the authority says.
GDFSuez Energy Romania from the French group GDFSuez recorded last year a turnover of 4.3 billion lei (976.9 million euro) up by 5% against 2013, but the net profit of the company dropped by 1% at 443.1 million lei (99.8 million euro).
The business of the company was supported last year by the growth of 7% of the sales of natural gas, as a result of the increase of distribution prices, but they were pulled down by the drop by 23% of the sales of electricity.
