The bill for electricity for the end user will drop by 0.5 – 1% in Q2

The bill for electricity paid by the end user will drop on average by 0.5-1% in Q2 of this year, due to the regulated tariffs of electricity approved by order 157/2014 and the impact of the tariff reduction of the contribution for co-generation of high efficiency, informs the National Authority for Regulation in the domain of energy (ANRE).

‘Keeping regulated tariffs approved through order 157/2014 will lead to the drop in the average price of electricity supplied at regulated tariffs, in Q2 2015 against Q1 2015, by almost 1.5%, the drop due to the reduction of the sums to be paid by clients for the segment of reservation/subscription (corresponding to the increase of the degree of deregulation in Q2 2015 with another 10%), ANRE explains.

At the same time, the committee for regulation approved the amendment to order ANRE no119/2013 regarding the approval of the contribution for co-generation of high efficiency and some provisions regarding the way of billing. Following the evaluation made by ANRE, according to the provisions of the legislation in the domain, a value of the contribution for Q2 2015 was equal to 15.82 lei/MWh against the value of 18,12 lei/MWh still valid starting with 1 January 2015, which represents a reduction by 12,7%.
