Seven Romanian energy project proposals for Chinese investors to embrace

Romania proposed Chinese investors cooperation on seven energy projects, on the occasion of the recent visit paid by an official Romanian delegation to China, Minister-delegate for Energy Constantin Nita declared on Tuesday, after the meeting of the Nabucco Committee in Bucharest.

'We presented the Chinese investors the projects of Cernavoda nuclear reactors 3 and 4; the Tarnita-Lapustesti hydroelectric power station; the Nicopole hydropower plant; the Macin pumped-storage hydro-plant; the Romania - Turkey subsea cable; the Rovinari mining exploitation; and the Mintia power station. Had we already had concrete projects, the investors would have already come,' said Constantin Nita.

Minister-delegate for Energy Constantin Nita was on an official visit to China over May 12 - 19, 2013, for talks on energy cooperation and investment opportunities.

The Romanian official met with Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan; general manager of the Republic of China National Energy Administration Wu Xinxing; China Sinohydro CEO Song Dongshen; China Gezhouba Group (CGGC) deputy managing director Yang Yisheng; China Huadian Engineering Co. chairman Sun Qingsong; China Eximbank deputy president Zhu Hongjie; China National Electric Engineering Co. president Zhao Ruolin; China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group deputy chairman Gao Ligang, informs a release of the Ministry of Economy.
