Senate bans polluters from protected areas

The Senate adopted on Wednesday a draft law submitted by senator Puiu Hasotti and deputy Gheorghe Dragomir, which proposes that all management and industrial waste disposal centres should be built at least twenty kilometres away from the Black Sea shoreline, the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve and the Nature 2000 protected areas' network limits.The requirements also apply to building refineries, nuclear and power plants, as well as to chemical fertilizers production facilities or ...
