The European Commission gave its consent on the takeover of the 75 percent majority stake of The Rompetrol Group, the second-largest oil company in Romania, by Kazak-based KazMunaiGas, saying it does not affect competition on the market, according to a release.Activities carried out by the two companies are complementary on the European market, the body deemed.
