Romgaz will supply 50% of the gas production at capped price and OMV Petrom -35%

The National Authority for  Regulation in Energy (ANRE) established the quantities of gas which have to be supplied by the producers at capped ;price of 68 lei/MWh to household consumers and thermo power units which deliver thermal agent to the population between 1 May 2019 and 31 March 2020.

Thus, according to the decision ANRE, Romgaz will deliver at a regulated price of 24.2TWh ouf of which 16 TWh to the population and 8.,2 TWh to CETs.

At the same time, OMV Petrom will supply 17.6 TWh at this price out of which 14.2 TWh to household consumers and 3.4 TWh to producers of thermal agent.

These quantities mean 50% of the Romgaz production according to the officials of the company and 35% of OMV Petrom, according to the AGERPRES calculations.

Initially, OUG 114/2018 said that the whole quantity of gas from domestic production should be sold at the capped price of 68 lei/MWh until 2022.

At the end of March, the government amended the document through OUG 19/2019 according to which only the quantities to the population and CETs will have a capped price for the next three years.
