Romanians consume 0.4pct of total worldwide nuclear energy

Romania's nuclear energy consumption, last year, was of 2.7 million tonnes of oil equivalent, accounting for 0.4 percent of the world total, according to statistics from BP oil company. Nuclear energy consumption increased in 2011, in Romania, by 1.1 percent from the previous year, more than double that of 2001, when it totaled 1.2 million toe.
